Google chrome and myGPSID.com

5 September 2008 No Comment

When we heard about Google’s Chrome browser, our reaction was … “oh sh.., we have to test the application with one more browser!!”. If not for our beta launch, I would be as thrilled as many of the geeks out there to try out the new product from Google. We expect technically savvy people to be our early adapters, who also happen to openly welcome chrome - so to make sure our product supports the intended early adapters, we decided to test our application with Chrome.

Here is the good part!! Our application worked seamlessly with Google’s Chrome. We were extremely happy to see that. However, while everyone is raving about the performance improvements, we failed to notice the improved browser speed. May be we are insensitive to milli-second operations.

Google has done a excellent job with the new browser, but I dont think our team will be migrating to it - we need the proven plugins (Web developer, firebug, etc..), which is far more important for us than the browser speed.
